I got it out of a word list for lit. pirat

...The more I actually look at these smileys, the more I understand why they aren't used.

Venial - so unimportant that it may be overlooked.
[Comes from the Bible: in Christianity there are two kinds of sins; venial (forgivable) and deadly (7 of them, I'm sure you've heard of 'em)]
